CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 15, 2004) - Marauder Resources East Coast Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Ron Murphy, MBA, BComm, will consult and act as the Chief Financial Officer for the Company, replacing Larry Martin effective October 15, 2004. The Company would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions and services that Larry Martin has provided as CFO for the past 7 years.

Ron Murphy has over 23 years of corporate finance and management consulting, oil and gas experience. Ron has worked in various finance/management roles with Mobil Oil Canada and Mobil Corporation in Fairfax, Virginia. Mr. Murphy was the Chief Financial Officer with Southward Energy Ltd and subsequently worked in the Corporate Finance group of Alberta Energy Company. For the past four years he has been an independent Financial/Management Consultant to clients such as Alliance Pipeline LP, Aux Sable Liquid Products LP, Ormat International and WasteCo Environmental Services Ltd. His management consulting practice has focused in areas such as commercial business development, project management, corporate finance - including raising debt and equity and mergers and acquisitions and a host of other consulting Chief Financial Officer responsibilities.
