CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 22, 2005) - Robert V. Shields, President of Marauder Resources East Coast Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MES), is pleased to confirm that the Rowan Gorilla VI has been contracted for the purpose of drilling the Dominion J-14 exploration well on Exploration License No. 2357 (Grand Pre Block) located offshore Nova Scotia. Marauder will earn a 20% working interest in Exploration License 2357 after the drilling of the well has been completed. Encana Corporation is the operator of the well which is expected to spud mid-November 2005.

As mentioned in Marauder's press release July 22, 2005, the well is expected to evaluate a prospect along trend with the Deep Panuke natural gas discovery where six previous wells have production tested in excess of 50 MMSCFD.
